I have often wondered and in some way asked God why He didn’t bless me with a beautiful singing voice. If I could have chosen my gift - that’s the one! Or would it be? To be honest, there are times that I have come to see why I have not been blessed with something that I, with my vain aspirations, would not have handled correctly. Yet, even knowing that, I still keep wishing that I could sing to my heart’s content and have it sound beautiful.
I was driving home one day, just recently, listening to a song that ended up changing my perspective and (hopefully) giving me a new direction.

Life of Worship
As I live each new day
I want my life to say
How I love you, my Lord
And long to praise your name.
I want my life to be
Just like I sing this song
Bringing glory to Your Name,
Powerful and Strong.
May my life be my worship
My life be my song.
May I praise you, my Savior
All the day long.
From the sun in its rising
To the night when it falls
May my life be my worship
My life be my song.

I’m thankful for artists who have been inspired to write and sing truth that speaks to my heart.
If my LIFE can be a song, I don’t want to miss a note or a beat. May I be ever more aware of the music that is being written, using the gift He has chosen to give me. This is what I wish to be reminded of throughout this coming year.

Annelise, Happy New Year and thank you for sharing the powerful and heart felt lyrics that touched your heart. I can so relate. . I love to sing too. .and often wondered why I could not sing a wee bit better . .solo good. . but alas, God knew my weakness. . and my vanity as well. Tis true, though, that hens love music and I've sung them many a melody for the goodness of their soul, and mine.
Many blessings on you Anneliese, I feel so thrilled that you started this blog.. .it has been such a source of encouragement to me.
I can so identify with this post, Anneliese...I love to sing, but mostly for the grandkids...or in the car...or in the kitchen! But the important thing is that my life is a song to my Creator. Thanks for the timely reminder!
Happy New Year! I look forward to visiting you here often...and maybe in real life on occasion as well!
I can also identify with this post...and because of the amount of driving I do in my job, my car is the place for my talent, or lack thereof. Thank you for sharing this song..lovely! Elma
Anneliese, I am so thankful for your blog, it is such an inspiration to me. I have had a very emotion Christmas Season and your words of encouragement and especially this song that you posted today brings a source of hope & peace for me.
Happy New Year! May God continue to give your much joy in writing your blog so that we can all be
inspired by your words.
love alvina
Music touches the heart of the soul.
Your song tells the story of how many of us feel.
It has been truly a blessing getting to know you and your journey.
Happiness in the New Year.
Thank you for this valuable reminder to allow the Lord to use us however He needs us.
Lately I've been mulling over why people only want those to sing who we think can sing best. I think it amazing that we are a blessing to our seniors at the nursing home when my friend and I sing a duet. We harmonize well, but would never pass to sing in public at the church. Too many critics, lol!
When I lead the Hymn Sing for the seniors and all of our singing falls far short of the ideal, I do know that my heavenly Father is thrilled that His children sing!
Be blessed!
I left you something at my blog! I love visiting here!
That is one of my favorite songs and I often find myself singing it! Jon Bauer is one of the most insightful worship leaders I have ever been blessed to meet and his new Kids Worship CD is awesome(It has a lot of the same songs from his first CD but sung with a kids choir. Aidan loves it!)
Oh my Anneliese...you are right...if your life is a song...what sweeter melody could there be?! I am sure of it...when I read your words...I am sure I hear a sweet refrain :} Blessings on your beautiful melody as you go into 2009
Me again...I would love to have the picture you took of our house on Christmas Day. We were too busy trying to shovel our way out to take any and later wished we had at least one picture!
Dear Anneliese,
I tried to post this a while ago, but see that I must have forgotten to do that silly word deciphering magic trick so that the computer knows I'm indeed smart enough to have my note published...
Anyway, what I had said was that Julene told me about your blog the other day and I am SO glad she did! Anneliese, You have often encouraged me in my ability to write, but I must tell you that you too have a tremendous gift with words. Your thoughts are so eloquent, sincere and inspiring. I love how you look at life, how you capture the small profound moments in words and in your photography and I can see now where Julene got her amazing, natural gift to do the same.
The way you love the people in your life and draw those around you into that, Anneliese, who needs a singing voice?! Your life truly does sing a breathtaking tune.
