Just a quick update today. I have Trish's bread pudding in the oven and we will enjoy that with a fruit salad for breakfast. It's been so much fun to be cocooned in the snow. I absolutely love the feel of not "being able" to go anywhere but to just enjoy being together. It helps when you have men in the house who enjoy proving that they can still get out with their trucks to rescue a damsel in distress. They will pick up anything I need and so the world's good.

This is a winter that I'm sure our kids will be talking about for many years to come. Come to think of it, there's actually one part of the global warming I don't understand. It's the part that sounds like it's the whole world. Let me know if you feel it.

I guess I should tell you that there are cars in this picture. They are completely
burried on the street in front of the house. In the meantime we are nice and warm inside. It's empty under the tree, the
grandbabies are enjoying their toys. The big kids will be enjoying theirs too, I think.
I will be posting more, but for now I need to go. Happy Christmas Break!

It looks just lovely at your place...and most everywhere in our valley! You just have yourself a grand time...being holed up with the family.
This actually looks pretty scary to me! But beautiful! Hope you get to see the street surface sometime soon!

Oh Anneliese...I sure know that feeling. Snowed in....that is. But I am thinking it is much worse there for you! Oh I love that you are making that bread pudding...it was so delish! Have a great time....a good holiday and break! Take care and don't be digging out those cars now...that is back breaking work!
Oh My........I think that for the first time you have more snow then we do here in COLD Winnipeg. It looks so beautiful and peaceful. Anneliese enjoy your family this snowy Christmas break. Did Ben and Kari walk to your place?

Mom, could you please e-mail me the link to Trish' bread pudding?
Wow what a lot of snow! Quite abit more than we had. I agree with you though, I love the hush that happens when it snows and that snug feeling when you realize you can't get out and have to stay home.
Your pictures are lovely. All the best for 2009.
I do remember days like this in Winnipeg where I grew up! Our houses were so close together and dad had no place to shovel the snow. He decided to open the basement window - not built out basement that is - and shoveled some of the snow into our basement where it quickly melted and drained away. What a memory! I love your pictures and would like to add them to my winter scenes collection!
