Today, as our country to the south - the home of two of our beloved grandchildren - is celebrating the inauguration of a new president, I am reminded of what is says in
1 Timothy 2: 1-2
"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."
Yesterday I received a forward of Billy Graham's well spoken prayer that commentator, Paul Harvey, aired on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story.' It reminds me of how God is seeking hearts that humble themselves before Him to pray and seek His face and turn from their wicked ways, allowing God to hear from heaven and heal our land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!' (Billy Graham)
I pray that God would reveal Himself and grant wisdom to this new President as he leads a country that has so much power and influence in our world. I pray that, what we have lost as North American nations, would become important again. May we truly put OUR TRUST IN GOD.

Thank you! Anneliese!
A nation is only as great as its trust in God and as its people humble themselves before Him.
May America be such a people!
Thank you Anneliese. . .and Amen.
