Well, I am sure God has other versions of her around the world but, in my world, she is one of a kind. This day is being set aside to follow a winter tradition we’ve had, a day of shopping. In the last couple of years Monika has joined us too and I can only imagine how my mom looks forward to a day with her two girls. We do too.
Then, later tonite we have a surprise for her. Some munchies are planned and the cake is ready. She has been informed that her kids with spouses will be coming over with appetizers and dessert. What she doesn’t know is that her grandchildren are also coming. Her apartment will be full – but not as full as her joy will be at seeing the younger ones take off a Friday night to celebrate with their Oma.

Beautiful cake, Anneliese. Looking forward to this day. And, yes, we are so blessed to have Mom in our lives.
You have her smile!
Oh Anneliese. .I have tears here. You are such a blessing to your mom. I know she is to you as well .. she is still such a dear lady. I sang in the choir with her for so many years and her graciousness was always evident.
May she have just a wonderful day with her two girls and may God bless your day and her evening with so many of those she loves.
A very Happy Birthday to your Mom!!
THAT is awesome! What a special day you have planned. I can just imagine the joy and smiles on your Mom's face today when she sees everyone together. The cake is beautiful. Enjoy today.
Love, Bonnie

Indeed, what a blessing that is. You have a mother who loves you unconditionally and prays for you. I can't even imagine. My heart is touched.
Happy Birthday, Oma!!
I wish I could be there to share in the joy, but it was great to see her and the rest of you last week.
Merry Christmas!

I think that that might be the best picture ever of Oma! Enjoy your day! I'd gladly take my Friday night off to be there if I could!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OMA!!!
Beautiful cake, Mom!!!
Now that sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate your mom's 75th! Beautiful cake...I'm sure you had a great time together as a family.
We took my mom on a shopping trip for her 70th birthday...all of her daughters and mom. That was the one and only time we ever did that...and by her 75th she was gone. You are blessed to have your mom as part of your life!
