Although, in some ways, spring has eluded us this year and the calendar tells us that summer is at our doorstep ... we are actually still enjoying a part of winter that usually does not take us into June. With the Canucks starting their final series in the championship playoffs, hockey fever is running high and one can not help but notice the number of flags waving in the stream of traffic, the signs in shops showing their support of our team and then this one ...
For now, at least, there is no such thing as Boston Pizza. The Vancouver Sun reported that in a show of support for the hometown Vancouver Canucks, Boston Pizza "rebranded" all 62 of its British Columbia locations "Vancouver Pizza." If that does not make you smile, then I don't know.
The Canucks will try and take the Stanley Cup back to Canada in a final series against the Boston Bruins beginning tonight. Go Canucks Go!

We surely do hope that all our nervous energy for the playoffs helps the team. Great pictures Anneliese.. ..very fun.
Tim and I are going to Vancouver pizza tonight to catch the game. Go Canucks go!
Great shot of the hockey fever that has gripped the nation! Have fun!
Hello Annelise:
I'm just sending you a link to a blog post you might be interested in. I think you referred to your son- in-law being a MAF pilot. This is another wife of another MAF pilot. She lives in Haiti with her husband and she has amazing writing skills so I thought I would just pass the link on to you.http://mafkrul.blogspot.com/
Great photos! Hope the Canucks can win it in 4 games. I don't think I could stand the suspense of a 7 game, "do it in double over time" win.
I'm rootin' for you!
yahoo! GO CANUCKS GO!!!!!!!1
Don't know much about hockey, but I can recognize a cool advertising strategy when I see one! Hope your Canucks win!
Great game tonight! Vancouver Pizza...why not? Smile.
love the change in name on the BP poster - my H is a huge hockey fan and is cheering for Vancouver, me on the hand, I'd rather be reading
Glad your Canucks won! I probably should be cheering for the Bruins since I am from the USA. But I don't follow hockey and it seems much more important to my Canadian friends! :-)
