When Three is not a Crowd

The sun was out on a Thursday morning and they were happy to play outside!
One of them remembered that last year they got to eat lunch at a little table
and thought it would be fun to do this again!
Looking at the fact that there were only two tiny chairs and three kids I thought
that this would maybe not be a good idea.

I was expecting a battle from one who did not care last year
to one who cares to the extreme about where he sits today.
But they helped me take out what they wanted from the shed and
I went inside the house to start lunch.
When I came out they had it all figured out!
I am almost sorry I missed the process of how this happened . . .
a table for two becoming a table for three without my intervention.
I count my blessings when things go smoothly.
because things are not always so.

So sweet! I love to see their problem solving skills emerging, too. And isn't it funny, these little quirks that emerge like caring (extremely) where they sit, how food is fixed, etc? It all seems more amusing now than it did the first time around =)

Just a little something from Judy said...

From one grandma who counts her blessings when things go well, to another one. I think that sentenced sums it up quite well. Little surprises like that, make life exciting. Cute picture.
