Joseph's Brother and Company

There was a time I dreamed
about the possibility of one day cheering
our grandkids on at their music recital, drama production or game . . .

In my visions these dreams did not, by any means,
conflict with book travels and signings
because they simply were not even
in my sphere of possibilities.

This weekend I had to choose
between the two . . .
and

the scene of the choir and actors on stage when the curtain opened
gathered any apprehensions into pure happiness!

My eyes followed the girl playing Naphtali
and the chorister in the yellow pants . . .
(I saw the father in front of me do the same . . .
his viewfinder had a certain boy in it at all times!)
It's all good!

Flying to Manitoba
. . . $505.00 or 50243 air miles

spending time with friends
and meeting new friends
. . . wonderful!

Seeing my oldest grandchildren
in the Joseph musical,
attending a piano recital
and finishing off the year with a PMCC choir concert
. . . priceless!

It's my first real replay season of the like
and I'm all in!

Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.

Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.

I agree with the others Anneliese. You chose correctly and your grandchildren will always remember you were there. Those times cannot be replaced.

There are some things in this short life that just shouldn't be missed! That looks like a great production of a fantastic musical - one of my favourites! How wonderful you could be there and see your grandchildren perform.

It's so neat that here you're a grandma and yet new doors are opening for you in ways you never dreamed of. The grandkids will be taught by that as well as the love you showed them by being there for them at their performances.

You picked right because you listened to your heart.

It's wonderful that you have everything your heart truly needs there. What a sweet joy to see the play for you. We've missed you here but not nearly as much as you would have been missed there.

You made a most excellent choice and the right decision for sure! We missed you but never would want you to miss something this wonderful with your grandchildren. I hope I too would also make the right choice one day.

This post touched my heart in a special way. I am sure it was a difficult decision, but I am sure the children will not forget it . I think I would have enjoyed that concert.

I wondered why I didn't see you in Lovella's facebook pics of the travelers! Definitely a great choice!
