By now we all know why I agreed to attend the Saskatoon book signings, so I won't apologize for dedicating a whole post to our prairie buds.

As you can see, the rain did not make an iota of a difference to Teddy,
who always found a fun spot to disappear to in the house.

Here she is just coming out of the indoor playhouse that Daddy and Papa built last year.
She thinks she can easily go up and down the staircase inside . . .
probably still giving momma a bit of a heart flutter at times.
This time around Daddy and Papa constructed a sandbox in the back yard.
When they started it was pouring rain . . . did I already say something about that?
They actually covered the area with a tent.
On Sunday afternoon we played outside on the, still sopping wet but, beautiful lawn . . .
we were introduced to ladder ball (which I did not get a photo of)
and inherited golf skills.
It was her time to show off!
I loved observing her enthusiasm - as if to make the most of the time.

What a fun visit for all of you, and those girls sure enjoy their papa and mimi. How fortunate they are that papa builds for them fun things and mimi bakes and reads to them. God bless you both, and many more enjoyable visits with the dear ones.
Love Mary
That is so sweet..."I want papa and mimi to stay 3 more days!"
Awww...sweet girls and fun times! I can totally see why you never needed any persuading to do the Saskatoon book signing.
Oh thank you for coming and loving my girlies... We had so much fun! And such great pictures too!
It's fun to see where we choose our destinations. I can best tell that most of our time was spent where we had family. It's so much fun creating and making things for the grands. Beautiful photos of the girls.
what a fun and very busy time! looks and sounds like you enjoyed it very much!
Such a sweet visit! Those girls are adorable and sandboxes are so much fun. My daughter and I were just talking about building one for Little E. Our kids (and all their friends) loved ours!
This is pure preciousness! What a lovely story!!!
That is sweetness. The rain did not dampen any fun. Happy for you.....I understand how you fit as much in on those long distance visits. They are very special as you get the whole day routine in....not just a supper or afternoon play date. That is the one really fun thing about sleeping over at the grandkids home.
You managed to be in SK during the wettest week ever! However, time with precious family trumps the need for rubber boots, right? Come back again!
We never really grow up do we ? If we've out grown sandboxes and play areas, we can still 'play' by building them for the next generation!
I smiled all the way through your post ..until the last comment from little Lacey - that teared me up !
As I read through this post, I found myself anticipating the completion of the sandbox. What sweet pictures of your family! Love the ones of you and your husband reading to them. Oh the special memories you are creating! Nice sandbox!
