Pre Christmas Joys

To be honest, when things get super busy,
it does not feel like the most wonderful time of the year
but I want to take a moment here to count my blessings of this season.

The blessing of a home to decorate

Family who loves to come over .
Grands who love to play, bake Christmas cookies and enjoy a tea party.

Beautiful concerts

and the joy of looking at the big picture -
but focusing on certain precious little ones.

This past week we attended a choir and orchestra concert,
two Sunday School concerts and two school productions!
This beautiful story just never gets old!

And tonight we get to celebrate my mom's 81st Birthday!
I made a jelly roll filled with chocolate pudding.
That's how she used to make it.

Merry Christmas Anneliese... I always love how you decorate for Christmas. I agree when things are busy it doesn't feel like the most wonderful time of year, but stopping to look at the blessings in life is a good check in. Thanks for posting :-)

Happy Birthday Anneliese's mom. I don't know you, but I do, because of all the pictures Anneliese posts of you, and especially because of one. The picture of you being surprised when your family had come together to learn a special recipe. I wish Anneliese would post that picture again. It just made me smile to see your surprise and joy, and theirs too, knowing they were doing something that pleased you so much.

I hope your days will be filled with teaching, for your joy and that of all your students, even those of us who are only online.

I wanted to just copy and past the photo to the comment but that did not work.
