MORE
Do you know just how much this one word can convey?
I tickle Jade's tummy while I change her - and she signs "more"
. . . it's so cute I can hardly stand it.
I hand Evy one felt marker - thinking I need some control
but she says, "more."
Hand them over, Mimi.
More conveys,
affirmation . . . I'm not done yet . . . I like it . . . do it again . . .
additional . . .
Evy calls her sister Sissy and her big brother, Bubba
The next brother she's dubded
More Bubba!
More Bubba!
How the mind works!
I was singing in the car -
trying to keep her from falling asleep before getting home for her nap.
Anything that came to mind for the 20 minute drive . . .
ABC
Heavenly Sunshine
Jesus Loves Me
Quietly she sat in her carseat - her only interaction . . .
More NLP
More Sunshine
More Jesus
To be honest, that last thought has come back to me over a few days now.
In my innate nature to keep wanting more of one thing or another - always more -
I have to ask, "do I show a desire for more Jesus?"
It's not just children who always want more -
we all want more of something all the time!
More time . . . more money . . . more sleep . . . more affirmation
There is a verse in the Bible that has intrigued me.
It talks about how God has set eternity into our hearts.
And I wonder if that is the ultimate longing for more -
a longing that will be fulfilled with no more want.
More about Jesus would I know,
More of His grace to others show;
More of His saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me.
More of His grace to others show;
More of His saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me.

Such a sweet post, Anneliese. I loved the 'more NLP' and 'more Bubba'. The little ones are a constant source of joy.
No more want = contentment. Our culture doesn't know what to do with that word. What would life be like if we all were content in all things?
"More" is such a sweet word from the mouths of little ones.
Love this post!!! So true...everyone all around us wants more but we are to be content and the only more we should be wanting is indeed more of Jesus....love that Hymn!! Thanks so much for sharing.
Sweet post! I'd never really thought about it...that we want 'more' almost from the get-go. Contentment is not the norm.
Wonderful post Anneliese. Love the words you ended with and that they are going through my mind now!
Such wisdom gained from the mouths of your sweet babes. A great lesson on what our "more" should be!
How precious ... out of the mouths of babes ... Yes.. More Jesus ... the prayer of my heart!
Such a beautiful post. More Jesus! Such a tender sweet baby heart!
Thank you for this thought-provoking post, Anneliese. I especially enjoyed the lyric at the end. It brought back sweet memories from the cobwebbed portion of my mind.
