A lot of leaves fell while we were away.
However, as I walked the rainy trail this week,
However, as I walked the rainy trail this week,
I could not help but pull out my phone.
I know . . . every fall I take the same pictures!
It's a season that calls for us to notice.

I passed the ducks on the overflowing pond . . .
(looks like they just wanted to go back to bed)
(looks like they just wanted to go back to bed)
and then caught sight again of my favorite part of the walk.
Could streets of gold be more beautiful than this?

And then there's home sweet home!
The patio furniture is stored away.
The swings taken down.
Soon it's time for twinkle lights.
This simple rotation of the seasons brings with it a certain calm and assurance that all is well.
Rains may fall, storms may threaten, but He's there.
The Captain of what we see . . . and also of what we do not see.
He will take us safe to shore.

Thank you for sharing your photos of Autumn. It's a season that we don't see here in the Phoenix area (unless we have freezing overnight temps in February, then the leaves change color and drop from the trees!) It is a season that I miss.
I too, am simply loving this extension of autumn.
Loved this! Thanks for sharing...even if I was there when you took the pictures in the rain! :-)
Yes, it's still very pretty. My eyes so enjoy this time of year!
Beautiful! I am loving the longer fall season. Last week "the last of the garden flowers" was brought into the house - but I've been saying that for over a month now.
So pretty! And such a good reminder that God is in control...even in the 'rainy seasons' of life.
That "street of gold" is stunning. This truly is one of my favourite seasons! I think I take and retake the same pictures each season as well. It never grows old - right?!
Very lovely Anneliese.
Audrey.
