A MGCC Party

Getting together with the Mennonite Girls has become one of my favorite Christmas parties.
This year Kathy invited us all, with our husbands, to their new home.

Judging by the pictures we take, it may look like it's all about the food.
It isn't. But it sure was good!

Kathy's table was exquisite!
I don't  use that word much.

She told us what was old and what was new.
She had taken time to borrow and polish silverware
and also made the beautiful napkin rings.

We all brought something,
but the main meal was prepared by Scot and Kathy
and was so delicious!

You can see the beautiful table here.

After dinner we ladies had a small gift exchange game.

We each brought a tea towel and went home with one.
A number of these are Ellen's photos and that is why she is missing in them.

Dessert was yummy ... but sad to say I was too full.
By then it really was more about hanging around the table

and enjoying a friendship we never
would have guessed possible when we started blogging.

Everything looks so beautiful including the MGCC. Pure elegance! I found myself zooming in on the food. That antipasto platter looks amazing as does Lovella's dessert. Hope some of these recipes will show up in posts to come. Kathy and Scot sure did a great job hosting!

it was wonderful to welcome you into our home. It was fun to prepare for you all and enjoy the wonderful food we all brought to share. Thanks for this lovely recap on our 2016 Christmas party. I'm so glad that you all could be a part of some of our firsts here in our new little cottage....that surprisingly was roomy enough of us all.

I echo that...a highlight of the year for me as well. Such a fun and lovely evening...and so nicely re-capped right here.
