This week we celebrated my H's 65th Birthday
and I mention it because of the milestone it is!
As it turns out,
we will be celebrating our birthdays together yet
so I may be posting more then.
For now, as I was looking through photos,
it was the simplicity of this photo
that made me stop and smile.
How often have I seen this same scene...
father and son
walking side by side in their own world, and now
grandfather and grandson...
sometimes in deep conversation,
sometimes quiet.
I love how he attracts their camaraderie,
how they can tease him
yet respect him
and trust him.
I love that seeing him turn 65 means I can
know him as not only my husband
and the father of my children
but as a Papa who is dearly loved by his grandchildren.

Sharon, I'm still savoring being able to say 59 till August 17th.
I'll be entering a new decade but have always been quick to defend my space of five years. Haha! On the other hand, I easily could be 65 with all that I've been given.

It is such a privilege and blessing to be able to turn yet another year older. We only need to look at our families and see how much of a blessing this is. Wishing your H many more years of spending time with those that love him dearly!

What a kind, and thoughtful tribute to the 65 year old husband of yours. Can you believe that we are at this point of our lives? Recently, we were talking about how fast the last 20 years went, and how in 20 years from now, he will be 85. So hard to believe!
