To recapture another birthday celebration is never too much
because pictures really do tell a story and
it's so good to go back in years to come.
Even the fact that I could not get a decent family photo
reminds me of the mini chaos after Jade's sincere table prayer
and the cookie place cards eaten upon getting seated ...
hence I can explain Koen's smeared up face
but not his expression or the fact that Evy is hiding.
It is, after all, their birthdays we are celebrating!
Koen gave me a smile before he blew out the candle,
While Evy was not too sure about all the attention.
Our furniture was squeezed together to have the table spread out long,
so we were feeling nice and cozy.
Gifts were given and opened and everyone was happy!
On this school night, there was not much lingering ...
and the girl who loved her new boots and pet carrier and paw patrols
made sure it all went with her
still trying to avoid the camera.
It's hard being cute.

How is it that Evy is 3 already!!! Wow. Such sweet children and comments from their beloved Mimi. Yes, these are the pictures they are going to look back at someday with much fondness.
