My H sent me some photos he captured recently
and it struck me how different the scenarios ...
sharing with the oldest in the family
to sharing with the youngest.
I brought mom an old album of hers
in which she had photos of a holiday spent with
siblings in South America.
It gave us a little bit of something to do
and she enjoyed it
even though the concept of pictures confuses her.
Then comes our littlest one ... intrigued with the photos on my phone.
Again and again he leaned back to see if I was liking them
as much as he was!
I have no idea of his concept of photos,
but at this point it's the interaction,
whether old or young,
that's special.

Even before they can talk clearly they seem to understand the concept of photos and always indicate "show me" right after the picture is taken! The times have changed indeed. I wish we had digital photos when my kids were little, sure would have saved me from wasting so much film on sub-par photos, hahaha
So true...that photo sharing is a totally different story now than it used to be!
Makes me smile...him looking up at you to see your reaction. :) I'm sure that looking through old albums is a wonderful way to spend time with your mom, whether she remembers or not.
Whether they really understand the photos or not...sweet times spent together with your oldest and youngest family members. I love how that little guy kept turning to see if you were enjoying too. You were enjoying him more than the photos I'm sure.
Great observation. I love that he kept looking up.
Such great pictures! and so neat to be able to sure with young and old! Photos really are a gift that keeps on giving!
Several months from now Grandson will show grandmother how to use that app that's been eluding her.
(Does he take selfies yet?)
