Our beloved Abe - long time close family friend, and who seven years ago asked me if he could marry my mom, passed quite suddenly into the arms of His Lord and Savior on Monday night. I could write a book about the beautiful memories that have flashed through our thoughts these days. About how we came to love him before he became part of our family and how he treated us like his own.
Abe loved my mom to the end, even through the final days when he was not sure she knew him. He will be deeply missed by both his Toews and Janzen families, by the nurses and care aids in the home who came to appreciate his daily visits, as well as many who were blessed by his music and his warm acceptance of everyone.
Abe, we loved you while we had you and only wish it could have been longer. Auf wiedersehen.

My deepest sympathy to Abe's families. How's your mom doing? Can she understand? Did you tell her? My heart goes out to all of you, Anneliese. You're in my prayers.
My heartfelt sympathy to you, Anneliese. He sounds like he was a wonderful man and such a blessing that he could be part of your family all these years.
Prayers are being said for you and your entire family and also to your dear mother.
