June Joys

My photo file for June is called June Joys -
and there really are too many to post -
but here are a few related to some first in this house.
Makenna finished her schooling early and was free as a bird.

I love seeing her enthusiasm for baking.

It is sad that she cannot make or meet new friends at this time,
but she is always happy to come over to help.

Paeton and his dad put up a basketball hoop and
built skate board ramps to make a quarter half pipe -

fun investments for the cousins too.

I've enjoyed seeing them interact.

These two had their very own sleepover -
to say they were excited is an understatement.

In the morning they wanted to mix pancakes themselves ...

and suddenly they are at an age where they entertain themselves.

Jack seemed happy to see the old toy box made it here.

I had saved one large cardboard box

and we had fun building and decorating another house.

I picked my first bouquets from the garden,

enjoyed time to relax,

and reasons to set the table again.

To sum it up,
I'll just say what we've heard a lot,
"Be kind, be calm and be safe."
We have so much to be thankful for.

Anneliese, I love the step stool built in at the kitchen sink. That is a brilliant idea! Enjoyed seeing the cousins having fun together. Your new home is so inviting.

Thanks, Vicki! I was excited to see what the cabinet maker came up with as well! That stool is actually in the laundry room - beside the kitchen and where you come in from the garage as well as the back yard.

So much fun to see the grands in your new home. They are breaking it in nicely. Love your outdoor spaces, too.

I'd say 'June Joys' is a good title for this blog post! How nice to see you settled in your beautiful new space and the grands making themselves right at home there!

Everything just looks lovely in your new place, but with the same old kiddos! I bet it's fun for them to settle into your new home but still find some of their familiar toys. You have such an eye for home decor!

Thank you all for your kind comments! I still find it hard to believe that we've settled into our new home and sometimes still feel like I'm playing house.

Oh Anneliese - your new home is just beautiful and so nice to see all the activities with your little loves! You have built a special place to make many wonderful moments and memories! I am so impressed that you already have a garden with such beautiful flowers. Now I'm hungry for pancakes ... Take care and stay well.
