The hydraengeas are loving these warm days,
showing off their blooms in several spots in our yard
and I've ejoyed cutting them for bouquets.
This little bundle got placed on the nightable to welcome home our
grown kids.
Julene loves yellow roses, so I mixed it up a bit.
This bouquet I picked for my sister, who had us for dinner last Sunday.
These have been in the house for over a week.
Sometimes they hang their heads immediately
and sometimes they go from lovely fresh flowers to perfectly dried flowers.
My view from where I often sit.
And these I picked when we had friends over for dinner a few days ago.
Hydraengeas in different shapes and colors ...
small joys to share with anyone who passes by,
even in a virtual way.

All so beautiful Anneliese! Not many blooms here at my house in the city but have been enjoying the ones at the farm!
Gorgeous bushes and bouquets you brought in to enjoy!
Do you know this trick for keeping hydrangeas upright? Cut the stem horizontally then at the bottom cut vertically. It helps them take in the water they require more easily. I have tried it only once so far and I had success! Your variety of hydrangeas is breathtaking and inspiring!
Thank you, Sheila. That's what I've been trying, cutting vertically into the stem and it seems to work most of the time. We finally got some raiin and some of my bushes looks pretty sad now, bending down to the ground. Will see what the sun does when it comes out, but we may have to cut them back quite a bit.
...the little bird. xx
