I love You, Lord
For Your mercy never fails me
All my days, I've been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In the darkest night
You are close like no other
I've known You as a Father
I've known You as a Friend
And I have lived in the goodness of God.

Within the first moments of this day and interspersed through out,
this song played in the back of my mind...
a peaceful melody waving in and out of my consciousness.
Could it be that somehow I feel that a part of my life has come full circle,
a time to reflect and a time to acknowledge, the goodness of God.
It surely is a wonderful gift
to know that every detail of my life has been filtered through His hand,
working all things out for my good and His glory, as I put my trust in Him.
Psalm 84:11

So beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
Happy birthday! I also like the song and the truths it conveys. May you have many more days to experience the goodness of God!
Your post reminds me of the song, "I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever". It is good to look back at how God has brought us along in Sanctification. To love Him more...
One of my most favourite hymns. Brings tears every time. Happy birthday .... and many, many more.
Thinking of you all as you navigate through this horrific fire season! Stay safe over there!
