I, however, in one sense, sat there speechless. (I mean - anyone who knows me would see this situation as humorous - enough said) How could her excitement about dogs just spill over, while I, also, had something important to share? Yet, the words were stuck in my throat. Why is it that she could freely let me know about her love for dogs and I couldn’t tell her about my love for God? Oh, I so wanted to tell her, but my fear got in my way again.
A quote I heard shortly after this incident went something like this: (I need to look this up)
“I’d rather tell you the truth and have you hate me than tell you lies and have you adore me.”
I pray that I can speak the truth in love and not worry about offending, but rather remember the possible eternal consequences of not saying something.

I think we've all been there.. How come it takes so much energy to share about something we're passionate about like our life with Christ.
We just need to step up to the plate and encourage each other.
Oh I have been in your same place Anneliese. It seems like such a big leap to begin the conversation doens't it? We can encourage each other to do this. . .to make a difference for eternity.
What a great post.. . thank you for sharing.
Thanks for sharing that Anneliese..I've been there too! And we have such good news to share..
How true that we have all been there.....and yet? How we stumble over getting the words out when instead we should be so eager that they literally spill out. Definitely something to think about! Thanks for sharing....
What a great illustration...one I can identify with so well! Why is it so hard to talk about what means the most to us? I need to ask myself that often.
thanks for sharing that. I think we all have gone through the same situations on a numerous occassions and i don't what it is but bringing up God seems to be the hardest thing to do.
