It is such a joy to see how loved you are! A little princess who is pampered and adored by your older brother and sister, carefree, content and happy, smiles ever ready! We are so blessed to be able to share this special day with you!
Since we are a bit confused as to what day to celebrate, because your exact day does not appear on the calendar this year (and being in another time zone) we just kind of celebrated for more than one day. It's actually a good deal! For part of our celebration we rented a river boat that took us along a local river where we saw the life along and on the river. It was a beautiful late afternoon, overcast and not too hot. Kids were bathing in the river, dads were going home from work on their motorized canoes and moms were taking in their laundry or cooking their fish.

What a special birthday celebration. those kids have such nice smiles...I'm sure they are lapping up every ounce of you guys. I so enjoyed the photos of the boat ride. You are right, these are memories that will come back to you many times and put joy in your hearts and smiles on your faces. Happy Birthday Makenna. Kathy
I love hearing all the stories of your visit over there... the pic of all of you in bed is wonderful, and you're right- how can kids look SO fresh in the morning?
Keep the posts coming!
Oh Happy Birthday sweet Makenna. What a precious time. I didn't know she was a leap year birthday. .how fun is that? It will come in real handy as she gets older. . .she'll stay young much longer than the rest of us.
Your river ride is just so fun .. .and running in tropical rain .. .and building memories is priceless.
As we also have a grandchild born on Leap Day we also share the confusion as to when to celebrate. We had the party on Feb 28. Happy Birthday Makenna. Thank you, Anneliese for sharing all your fun times over there. I'm looking forward to your next postings.
Your journey is interesting and it's more interesting because you don't post tourism. You post things that are of everyday circumstances to the locals.
Of course it's fun to celebrate birthdays with Makenna.
I noticed you were wearing shorter pants. We were only aloud to wear dresses...They have come along ways.
wow...so wonderful to be there and such a learning experience for you as well. Incredible!
i had a few days of postings to catch up on...happy-b-day to your little one!
