She only got to know us in February on our visit there - when she turned one year old - and she came to visit when she was eighteen months old. Now, at 20 months old . . .. . . she pulls pictures off the shelf and points out Bapa!
. . . the phone rings and it's Bapa!
. . . Julene asks her to say Papa and she says Bapa!
. . . Julene asks her to say Grammy and she says Bapa!
. . . The day after we talk to her she looks at the phone and says BAPA?
I'm not hurt . . . it's all good! Somehow I knew this would happen - even before we had grandbabies. That's because I think he's pretty special too!

So cute! It's amazing how your grandkids love their Papa & Mimi (Grammy) despite the miles!
And Landon says "Bapa" too!
That must melt "Bapa's" heart!!
Bapa's the one! They all choose their favorites...from the get-go. How special for them to have grandparents in their lives...whether living next door or across the sea.
I can totally relate. At least you have a part excuse that she doesn't see you often. .I get called Dampa. .and gampa most days . .and I'm fine with it too . .I figure it is a compliment to me that she associates me with my beloved. . .
Totally sweet post.
My WV is comim. .hopefully she'll be commim soon!
So cute!! I love it that she calls Herb 'Bapa'....first Caily called me 'Mimi' just like Natalie calls you. And now Makenna calls Herb 'Bapa' sort of like what Caily calls Dave...'Bupa'! Too fun.
