Like cold water to a weary soul,
is good news from a distant land.
Proverbs 25: 25

We waited a long five weeks for them to get connected before seeing these photos . . . a glimpse into their new surroundings. I can tell this is going to be a favorite destination on their walks

and can just imagine the joy of choosing the treat . . .

Will it be a freshly blended fruit drink . . .

or cucumbers, eggs and noodles . . . why, it's practically a store. . . oh it is! And everything is behind glass. A step up from the warungs in their previous neighborhood.

It looks like they made a decision! I think it's a sweet pastry of some kind . . . and water.
For those who have been there, the pink walls and green counter might just help set the right ambiance. They cause me to remember . . . the humidity . . . motorbikes scooting by . . . roosters crowing and a faint musty scent in the air . . . all part of the daily adventure that they are hardly even aware of any more. I love the smiles . . . bright enough to practically shine right across the ocean!

Rejoicing with you!
Oh how good for you to be able to see these shining bright faces. I'm glad the wait is over :0)
Five very long weeks. How lovely to be in touch again and that, having visited before, you can even remember the smells. Welcome smiles!
Beautiful smiles on beautiful faces!
Happy for you that you are feeling connected once again!
Ah...so precious! They have me smiling too.
I know you were happy to get those pictures! They look happy to me!
Those pictures! I'd be enlarging them to poster size and have them on every wall of the house. Those smiles would make every moment special in the house. Beautiful, and SO happy you are visual again with them now.
You have brought tears to my eyes. It is so good that you have been here (well, to this country). The next renovation project is our guesthouse (aka, Papa & Grammy's room).
How beautiful! Great smiles for Grammy! My granddaughter only lives across the state -- I can't imagine having them across the world!
So nice to see that they're all safe and sound in their new home, looking very happy and content!
Awww - sweet, sweet smiles!
I love those shining faces...
They say more than words and I too can feel those musty hot sweaty days.
It's not always easy to stay in contact with all the delays of technology.
Their happy smiles definitely got a smile back from me!
And yes.. news from a distant land is sooo welcome! Five weeks is almost forever when waiting for news from kids!
A different life over there.. but how easily kids fit in where ever they are!
