We were coming home from the playground, walking up a hill,
his little legs trying so hard to keep up while holding my hand.
We talked about having a snack when we get home.
Oh, he liked the idea, "I want to have some apple juice,"
he said it like it was the most delicious, juiciest drink ever!
Then he added . . . "With no lid."
I smiled . . . because it's at Grammy's house
where they all get introduced to cups with no lids . . .
and they can do it!

Love it...with no lid. That is very special...
I love this post. ..it is so true. Our grands actually do know how to drink with no lids but I sitll know what you mean.
Cute! Who would have thought a cup without a sippy lid could be so special?
So fun!! I miss you!
Mom, you would be happy to know that at meal times our kids now drink from cups with no lids! More spills though. :( And we save the sippy cups for outings! :)
Sweet . . . it doesn't take much to make a child happy!!
A heart of contentment and appreciation...someone is doing a great job of raising him!
Love the age of three ...
Isn't it funny to see all us grown ups sucking on sports bottle as we tear about outside? Maybe we gave up our lids and sippy cups too soon!
It's always interesting what they get away with at Grandma's house.
Here's me and my daughter enjoying zippy cups..reminding us of something we never had, while the young ones want to grow beyond their zippy cups.
It's fun to see what they get away with at Grammy's house.
I'm "Grammy" as well. The most beautiful word in he world!
I can't believe I read this in your post, because that is something they find special that they get to do here also, drink out of cups with no lids. And, I have the same cups you have pictured. It's the little things in life that mean the most.
