Words that come to mind . . . hard work . . . simple joys . . . genuine friendships . . innocence . . . consistency . . . beauty . . . contentment . . . trust . . . commitment and faith. There is probably a whole lot more . . . but I have not had the chance to do anything but observe. There is a peaceful feel about this place . . . and I want to say thank you for letting us pass through.

All the reasons why I love Lancaster County too! Beautiful pics!
This was such a wonderful post. I can only imagine what a wonderful time you had as you traveled along, pointing things out and snapping away!. Your pictures told so much....I liked the words that you summed those pics up with. Blessings on your day today. Such a different place you are today!
There's a peaceful feel about this post as well...you captured the feeling in your photos!
I'm sure you are in another place today...with a totally different feeling. Enjoy!
Love these images Anneliese!!
I could live there!! Love the laundry on the line - that was always my favorite - even though I had a dryer I loved hanging it outside as soon as the weather allowed! Beautiful photos!
Those pictures are so pretty! They make me want to head down there to see it all.
We live within 4 hours of the Lancaster area and it is one of our favorite places to visit -- great pictures!

great advertising for our county:).. may i never take for granted what the amish have done for our local culture, and how nice it is to just scoot down the road a bit to the amish roadside stand for fresh produce. auntie sharon
