We rolled our tagged luggage to its designated area, went through security and, upon embarkation, headed to the buffet line for lunch.
The afternoon slipped by quickly as we found our cabin with our luggage inside, met our steward, unpacked, got briefed on safety (escape) procedures at our designated muster stations and visited with friends.
The San Diego skyline floated into the distance as we sailed away in the early evening.
For the next five days the Pacific Ocean was our front yard and our back yard, the vast expanse of water never ceasing to amaze me!
Every day, before dinner, we did laps on the the third deck promenade . . .
often catching the sun as it went down,
and always leaving us with a sense of awe.
Every night we dressed up and went for dinner. Totally spoiled!
And after dinner we had dessert, reminding us of the need to walk again the next day. I could have continued this cycle for a bit longer . . . but all good things must come to an end. So they say.

That is a good cycle! Everyone should experience that cruise life once in their life. .or maybe a few times. I enjoyed seeing the peek...and hope to see more.
Beautiful photos! How fun to be totally spoiled...even for a short time.
Did you use your cute black purse?
wow - LOVELY!!
Oh I love reading about this - my beloved and I are celebrating 35 yrs of marriage this way - in March - Lord willing! Thanks for the little foretaste :)
Kathie, how exciting... we were celebrating a belated 36 year anniversary!
Judy... yes, I used my cute black purse every night. It went with every dress! Maybe I should take a photo of it.
Oh wow...these photos are really awesome. I can see why walking your laps would put you in awe when you see these sights. The food looks pretty darn good, too.
So happy for you. I hope we get to see more and hear more about it. We'll get spoiled vicariously!
Looks like so much fun!! Glad you could get away together and get some much needed rest to get over your colds.
Wow, this looks like fun. I never really thought about going on a cruise, but maybe I'll see if it's something my husband would like to do. Hope you share more photos.
So glad you are getting spoiled and what a great way to do it as on a cruise!!! Never thought I'd like to cruise but we took an amazing Holy Land Cruise a couple of years ago and I LOVED it . Your pictures are gorgeous - hope to see some more! Love the cute black purse comments.
Oops, sorry about the rain! We often eat in a restaurant across from the terminal and watch the cruise ships pull out. I'm always excited for the passengers and love to hear the whistle blow. Have a wonderful time.

What a fun trip! It's always nice to be spoiled once in awhile. And those laps around the deck seem like a good idea - I know I'd need them.
Ok, so now you have to post a picture of the cute black purse! You know I love a great purse! I'm thinking of getting out my cute little Russian purse for a gala this weekend.
Looks like you had a great time!
Looks like a lot of fun!

Ah, yes...the beauty of a cruise. It looks like you were being pampered and how well deserved for you! All those details make it so special.
We're all waiting for a photo of the little black purse.
Cruises are so relaxing...and fattening if you're not careful. Sounds like you balanced the good food with lots of exercise!
