To my dear friends in blogosphere . . .
Thank you for your understanding and encouragement in these past days.
There is healing that happens when we are able to express our feelings
and know that we are not alone.
I want you to know that your words have meant a lot to me and I have felt your prayers.
For today I will continue in my reflective mood
by sharing the gist of one of my paper journal entries . . .

from Psalm 139
You have searched me,LORD,
and you know me.
You have searched me,LORD,
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely.
5 You hem me in behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
When it comes to the One who knows me completely, it is actually freeing to know that I cannot pretend to be something I am not. The fact is - He still loves me. In my anger, my disappointments and my shortcomings, His love for me is saturated in grace. He knows how I am made and is able to see my shortcomings as the perfect condition in which He will show forth His power and glory.

His grace is enough, yes?
Your posts this week have broken my heart, Anneliese. You have such a strong support system, that is undeniable and so valuable, and yet you are the one experiencing these HARD realities. Thank you for being transparent - your honesty is beautiful and painful at the same time. I will uphold you in prayer as God reminds me of your family. I pray that God's grace will meet your every need.
Love, Vange
A beautiful photo Anneliese and my favourite Psalm with it. It has comforted and reassured me countless times over the years. Thank you for sharing your heart - it reminds us that we are not alone in facing tough things in our lives and I'm encouraged to hear that God is providing healing and comfort.
Have you heard the new song by Laura Story.."I Can Just Be Me"? I think you would like it...her words are much like your in this post.Thank goodness for grace and God's never ending supply of it!
Your honesty, your realness, and your love for God and His Word, permeates through these recent posts. I have been praying for you. I can't imagine what you are facing down inside, but I do know you are a special blessing to me and to so many people who love you in the blogging world. This Psalms has carried me through many a sleepless night. Thanks so much for sharing it.
That is a favourite Psalm for me. Keeping you and yours in my prayers Anneliese!
A beautiful Psalm...a beautiful photo. He loves us just as we are....and where we are. His right hand will hold us fast!
Praying for you and your family Anneliese. May His peace wash over you and His sustaining power and love keep you.
You have shared your heart in a vulnerable way, but at the end of each post, your strong faith is represented, your faith in God and a faith of what is to come. Praying for all of you during this time.
I will keep you in my prayers. Since I discovered the Mennonite Women web site and books you have been a beacon to me.-maybe it's because our families have been far-flung while being so close in heart-a difficult road to walk. Don't loose heart. Anonymous
