A few days ago there was a successful trip to the Post Office on the other side of the world.
The photos in my inbox in the morning told the story
of the party that went on during our night.
Pancake mix, cereal, coffee, tea, jam . . .
Three months by ship and who knows what modes of transport . . .
but breakfast from Canada finally arrived!
This is how we drop in.

Joy over the little things, love it. Our kids up north get excited when yams arrive in the food parcels LOL
Glad it finally all arrived! And they all look so thrilled with the things we probably all have access to in our cupboards/fridges on a daily basis. Thanks for the reminder that we have so much to be grateful for.
Julene, enjoy the "breakfast from home"!
What joy! Glad they breakfast special finally arrived!
Delicious indeed! More so than the food, though, is the reminder that we are loved.
Oh how they're enjoying your care package from home!
You don't need many words to explain those photos. Beautiful!
Oh that is just so sweet! What a reward by photos for you!
Love it! Happy, happy, joy, joy!
What a wonderful treat from "home" - the absolute best kind of mail.
ah what a great gift.... ans I am sure it would be quite a treat to enjoy some things from "home"
I LOVE IT! Those smiles must have made your day, Anneliese.

What great pictures! They really do tell the story! :-)
I can imagine your smile too.....how very sweet these photos are. You have a beautiful family.
Your visits are similar to mine. I love how they sent you the pictures and the love that is evident in those pictures. I felt with you on each picture. You share joy via boxes of love.
Oh you are a good and faithful Mimi to your grands! You can see the delight in their faces as they taste the love you send.
How fun!
We live in Julene's old house in Tarakan and we are actually are from Gibsons, BC (but my Dad lives in Chilliwack). My parents often hop across the border and mail gifts to us from the US. It's always exciting to have a little taste of home ;)
Hi Amy, so nice of you to leave that comment! I can imagine the house you live in now. We were there in April 2011 when my husband, with Chris, built that tree house in the mango tree. I posted about here http://foreverythingaseason.blogspot.ca/2011/04/mango-tree-project-done.html
It was such a great time there. God bless!
