Jam for the Next Generation

I don't think I could have ever imagined the day I'd be cooking jam with yet another generation of kids at my feet . . . or on my hip. When I tell my girls things like that, they look at me like, "what did I think?" I don't know what I thought. As young girls we dream of getting married and maybe about being moms one day, but I wonder how many of us dream further than that. Maybe that is the reason this stage has come upon me almost unawares - void of preconceived ideas - and it's nice to know the unexpected joys it brings!

What a great photo...capturing the moment! I'm sure that not many of us imagined life as a grandparent...and the joys that holds. Unexpected joy!

What a beautiful picture. You look so youthful and happy holding that precious grandchild as you stir the jam. I can't wait to see what grandparenting holds for us over here! What a blessing you are to the next generation!

The baby is just the sweetest thing, but what I love the most about this picture is how you look upon her so adoringly and those dimples of yours are the cutest thing. That is what makes your smile :)
