It began as a thought or an idea and once I talked about it,
there were regular reminders, wondering when this would begin?
So we had our first official fall class this week.
And the smiles tell the story.
We stirred
counted cups . . . tasted
patted, cut and decorated.
We figured out that the rice crispies had to partially harden in order to cut shapes,
but then a mallet was needed to press the cookie cutters.

With wet hands, we rolled the leftover strips
and dipped . . .
Tim bits of a crispie kind.
Fancy or plain,
in case you have forgotten,
they are quite yummy.

Such a special time to always remember!
Who knew a meat tenderizer had a second perpose? :)
So awesome. What wonderful memories.
That looks as fun for Grammie as for grandgirls! I'll tuck that idea away for a year or two. I know Josie and Oscar would love it!
Fun moments with your sweet girls!
Oh, they are too cute! What fun for the girls...and memories to last a lifetime!
This class may just need to be repeated in a couple of weeks. I know 3 kids who would sure love these!!!
Oh what fun! Cooking with Grammie - the best! I can hardly wait to do this someday.
What valuable and fun lessons for these dear girls! I still remember some of the cooking lessons that I received from my grandmas. I love seeing their smiles, and can feel their enthusiasm. Rice Krispy treats can be used for so many things. I like seeing how you all did them.
What a wonderful idea! Good for you! And as you say, the pictures do tell it all!
