Good Bye Shipshewana and Sugarcreek

These past five days in the heart of Mennonite and Amish country have been wonderful beyond what I can describe here late at night as we are packed to go home first thing in the morning.

I do plan to post all about coming here to see the drama Mennonite Girls Can Cook, about cooking class and book signings and all that but for now I just want to let you in on what a beautiful place this is!

How many times we commented on the well kept yards

colorful fall displays

hard work ethic

and simple way of life!

It was inspiring!

All ten of us together is something we never take for granted and will continue to cherish as we head in different directions once more.

Love the Midwest and upper Midwest country....Very well kept for
sure....The horses in the field in your picture are magnificent...
and I do miss seeing the horse drawn carriages on the country roads..When
I lived in Wisconsin, I saw a lot of them.
And I can hardly wait to hear about your trip. If I had had time to get
up to Indiana, I would have been up there to see (all y'all) as they
say down in the south...LOL
Love from NC

I grew up in Shipshewana and now live in Middlebury. I enjoy hearing/seeing a visitors view of our area. Great pictures. Looking forward to hearing more. Sue
