Leaving our Nest

Did you know this is what a baby owl looks like?
We found him one morning after a strong windstorm,
seemingly having been blown right out of its nest.

I must admit I feel a little bit like him today ...
maybe a tad grumpy.
It's always hard to leave a place that's been so comfortable.

But just like this owl,
if I have not been totally forgotten,
I'll be just fine.

He's so fluffy! My husband has been talking quite a bit about what our life will look like for retirement. I am excited on the one hand and very apprehensive on the other. Even though the changes are in the distant future (5-10 years), the way time flies by now I know it will be here in an eye blink. I kind of hate to think of leaving the nest we're in right now...

I'm a bit grumpy, too. :)
Never seen a baby owl before.
Hope you get back into a good rhythm.
