Oh, the simple joys of these childhood games! I just couldn't help but pick a bunch and put them in a mug placed by my kitchen sink, just because.

Such simple loveliness! Gorgeous!
I was looking back on the Mennonite girls blog for a strawberry jam recipe & found yours. I love that it makes such a large amount but I wasn't sure about sealing the jars. Can I use the inverted sealing method? My freezer really isn't very large so would like to keep in the pantry. Hope you can help me. You can leave a message on my blog. Thanks! Jan
We used to do that with buttercups when I was a kid too!! I took some pictures of them the other day and it brought back those childhood memories! Your pictures are lovely!
awwww...so sweet. great images you painted for us
Beautiful pic's! Now I must see if I like butter...or not. I've never heard of the game.
So cute! These buttercups bring back memories of Hatzic for me. I remember cleaning out the outhouse & putting a cup of buttercups on the bench beside the toilet afterward :-)
I actually proudly presented my mother both the good and bad. . .and now I know that one really was bad. . .even though I sort of suspected.
The bad have taken over our field. . and perhaps that is really why they are bad.
But your little bouquet is lovely. . .thanks for the memory.
Thanks so much for the info on the jam. I'm going to farmers mkt. tomorrow & I'll let you know. I usually use Surejell but I'll ck. & see if I can find Certo. I'm making room in my freezer. Jan
