One of these days I will be on the look-out for a chest and some new play clothes. I imagine Cinderella dresses, fancy scarves and the like. What I have now is a large cardboard box and clothes our kids played dress-up with.
Can you tell? Although it does not seem to bother them too much .. . I'm certainly ready for a new look. Funny, when I see this photo I think of the musical Annie and a certain conniving couple, part of the line-up, claiming to be Annie's parents. But that's a movie for when they are older. Sigh ... so much to look forward to yet! I hope that one day they will be in musicals.

I know there is a matching skirt somewhere in my crawlspace. I will have to look for that and bring that back to "life"
What fun! It seems that every generation of children loves to play dress up. I've got a little toy piano for those upcoming musicals......I think I need to add more dress up clothes too : )
Having been worn by you or their parents as kids is what makes them special to the grands
My mom had an old box of her paperdolls and when we were sick, as kids, she would get out her box and we would sift through it. It was a treat knowing that she had played with them when she was little.
Oh what fun! I have a tickle trunk upstairs...with dress-up clothes from days gone by as well. The oldest two grands used to make it their first stop at Grammy's house...not so much these days!

I,m sure they will be in musicals. From teakwondo to musicals, just to be part of their lives is what counts. Another gift.

Speaking of musicals - our Sarah just got the part of Lisle in The Sound of Music - she's so excited!
That is so fun. .and yes. .we have so much to look forward to. Each season has it's own delights.

Loved this...those two and our two oldest grands would have a blast together. One year our daughter put together a Tickle Trunk of dress up cloths for a christmas gift for the other family. I made for a fun Christmas as the kids came out in different characters all season long.
