The Second Generation

Cousins - 1984

Cousins - 2011

There are still some pieces of furniture in the house that appear to have come with a lifetime warranty. I'll be doing  something about that soon.

These pictures crack me up! I totally think that each kid in the 2011 looks like someone in the 1984! I think Landon looks like me - look at facial shape and smile! Lacey looks like her Daddy, Natalie looks like Jules, and Koen looks like Darren. :)

Your sofa has held up extremely well! And the kids are adorable too!

How fun! Keep the couch.....it's part of the family.
I remember your kids at that age.....and it's neat to see some of their kids now.

I say keep the couch... maybe you can get a 3rd generation photo on it!

That is almost bizarre...you could show me these 2 pics and I would say that those kids are definitely all related! I just saw another 2nd generation photo this week on Jeané's blog, http://thecoffeecottage.blogspot.com/2011/10/robes.html

The couch is in fabulous shape and has been around long enough that it will be back in style any day now! I say hang on to it!

It's cute that you had the same sofa for both photos. You must be a meticulous housekeeper to have kept it so nice!

I'm with Kathy...keep the couch! How fun to have two generations of cousins sitting on the same bench.

In 1984 my daughter had that same doll...
I hate to say it but furniture made today just isn't the quality of then, and the furniture of our parent's homes were better made than what we had in our nesting years. Have you considered re-upholstering?

Cute pictures! I know what you mean about old furniture...it does hang around sometimes, doesn't it?!?!
