Before and After

You have seen glimpses of our living room before . . .

And now . . . the one taken as soon as it was set up. Is it okay that I was a wee bit excited? What is it about something new that makes you feel like you will love it forever?

I lit candles, before I removed tags! This photo shows the textured wall or the painted wallpaper.

I'm never too far from something with a bit of lace . . . not frilly, but a reminder of something old.

Simple . . .  soft . . . serene . . . for now.

In the early morning hours, I lay awake on my pillow and counted seats.  I can imagine it quite different in a few weeks, when we will all be together in our living room at Christmas . . . for the first time in 8 years. It may even be somewhat chaotic . . . but it will be sublime. Those who look, may find me secretly wiping a tear here and there.

Beautiful, Anneliese! But then I knew it would be. You and H make a great team in remodeling/renovating/decorating. I'm sure this new room will get plenty of activity in a couple of weeks. ENJOY!

I love the fabric on your new furniture. And the textured wall paper. So pretty.

Being all together at Christmas is one of the BEST parts of this season. You will revel in the presence of those you love.

Love the new couch fabric. It looks understated and modern, but does not miss out on being classic. Looks good.

We are all so excited for you Anneliese...your first time together in 8 years and our first time that we will not be together since our family was born.
You will have tears of joy and happiness and just the perfect pillow.
Everything looks stunningly exquisite.

Beautiful colours and fabric Anneliese. They are so relaxing and calming. I too have just finished repainting our lounge, dining and kitchen - and it's just like having a new home again.

P.S. I almost didn't want to look at this post in order to keep the "new" a surprise until I can see it with my own eyes!
