Camping Season

This recent photo was sent to me by someone who remembers being a child . . .
and it allowed me to see that getting a trailer ready to go camping

is still as exciting as it was a generation ago.

In this photo we were packing up to leave early the next morning.
The kids were supposedly tucked into bed, when one had an idea . . .
and we suddenly discovered them in the trailer.

I can almost hear the excited giggles! The wonderful thing about childhood is the anticipation of new things, isn't it? We need to keep that attitude of wonder all through life.

Yes, camping is fun and anticipating it is fun, too! Our kids loved it and the grands do, too! Really cute pictures!

Those are the best discoveries...so many of our always wanted to sleep in the trailer and they loved packing it up.
And by habit we always left early in the morning. Kids got to stay in their pj's as we put them in the vehicle and they pretended to sleep and read...in the back of the big SUV. (we did not need seat belts at that time)
