Sometimes . . . for a time . . . what we desire most is only a dream . . .
a yearning unfulfilled . . . a reality for
others to enjoy.
So when those empty arms are filled, it is extra special for friends and family
to
come together to share in this long awaited day!
Gifts express joy and anticipated hope for days yet to come.
This particular circle included friends who had been there for the baby shower of the now "new mom" almost three decades ago, down to young girls, excited to be part of a ladies function.
we enjoyed pineapple, banana punch and delicious plates of food
brought together.
Yes, although this shower was somewhat about small things, such as mini diaper babies, mini cupcakes, mini rolls and tarts . . . the happiness shared was big.
Because . . . she will readily say …
For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me
my petition that I made to
him.
1 Samuel 1:27

Our latest edition, now almost 3 months old, is a baby such as this - longed for, prayed for, hoped for.
Oh the joy of desire fulfilled after years of emptiness! How good God is.
Blessings to all of you.
What happiness! Everyone shares in such joy! God is good, but waiting can be so hard!
The picture of the lamb and the one of the real lambie-pie in his mother's arms are just precious.
Congratulations and happy days ahead.
So special. I know all too well how it is to wait for this precious day! What a beautiful post!
Wonderful blessing to celebrate together!
Such a sweet post celebrating a sweet event. So happy for this family!
Lovely post - it took me back. I was the young mum who prayed for a child and had the prayer answered....in God's way, not mine.
I love this...so beautiful! May God bless this family!
Awwwww ... how touching and sweet! And what a precious new life!
What a beautiful shot of mom and baby - I'm so glad her waiting days are over. Such a wonderful celebration filled with happiness. You captured it beautifully Anneliese.
You shared a very tender and empathetic post that reminds us how deep the longing can be for a child and how precious it is when that longing is fulfilled. I love the diaper babies!
Beautiful! Blessings on the baby...that was longed for, prayed for and now loved.
What a happy story! I love seeing God answer fervent, heartfelt prayers in giving such a special gift like this little guy. You all made it so pretty and festive. I can't imagine you doing otherwise. I like the mini diaper guy. What a cute idea!
