The third annual Easter Paska Class was a delight to be part of!
It was so special to meet new and old friends alike.
You know who you are if you are reading this.
Seven of us met early in the evening to get organized.
Lovella brought Paska from home but immediately got busy mixing
the dough that would take its time to rise and be ready to demonstrate with
once she showed the process of how to make the dough.
Are you still with me?
Exactly . . . that is what I try to wrap my head around when planning a class.
While Kathy and Marg got busy peeling potatoes for the scalloped potato dish,
Julie and I chopped cabbage for the fresh coleslaw and Judy
grated cheese and helped keep us all on target.
Lepp Farm market's own chef had put a glazed ham in the oven earlier.

By the time the class was ready to begin,
the work was almost done and we were giddy to do the fun part.
Each took their turn to demonstrate a process.
Julie talked a little about gluten free flours and
brought the tiniest little Paska bites to share with the class.
Soon plates were plated with juicy ham, cheesy potatoes and home made coleslaw
. . . followed by a bowl of fruit soup

Oh my...now I'm so hungry looking at that wonderful plate of food. Love the Paska photo on your tray!!
Your pictures are so lovely Anneliese and your description of the class right on! The class participants helped make the class a success with their enthusiasm. Thanks to all who came.
Thanks for nice re-cap...photo and oral...of last night's class. It was such a good time!
I haven't 'done' Easter dinner for so long. This looks wonderful. The one I would do would have lots of people at a table filled with baked ham, a Turkey, pyroghy, holubsti, smetana, one of those aspic jiggly salads lol, three or four vegetable dishes and two kinds of pie, at least for dessert.
Thank you for Easter dinner!
Sharon
Aw... Sharon, your dinner sounds wonderful. Years ago my H's side of the family would have gone for the same idea... the more the better! Now most of us have gone a bit simpler for various reasons, but the memories linger, right?
Mmm - this looks very much like the Easter Dinner we will be enjoying on Good Friday, right down to the homemade mustard! Paska is something more recently added to our tradition and also your cream puff dessert Anneliese! It's requested. Looks like you had a wonderful class again!
Thanks for all your work in organizing this event. Lots of fun as we just kept moving along. I woke up this morning so hungry wanting more of all those good foods.
Can you smell the Paska in my oven?
oh my!!! everything sounds super delicious - wished i lived closer - it would be so much fun to participate!
Like I told Judy...I wish I lived close enough to come to one of your cooking classes. It looks like so much fun and I know the food would be delicious!
Wonderful. You have all always been wonderful cooks but now you all look so pro, great job! Easter is the beginning of MGCC right? The starter point as it were, so how nice to see the group of you together (minus a few I realize). Great shots.
I surely do love being in the kitchen with you! You took such fun pictures and the best part of that is that the fun is real!
looks great! that is one of my favorite meals!! I love to see a paska covered in sprinkles- just makes me smile!
