Under Construction

Just a few random shots . . .

made to look like there was a plan.

As I scrolled through the photos . . . I cropped

 and smiled

and saw things in a more reflective way.

I remembered the teasing . . .

the innocent awe . . .

and the words called down to me.

I looked for each one within the rafters . . .

 saw the private contemplation

and detail of moments we take for granted.

Sometimes one may miss something because of being focused on the lens in hand
but in other instances, time comes back in stored treasures because of it.

That looks like a terribly fun place to grow up in! Enjoy!

Sometimes I have captured moments through the lens that are a complete surprise to me when I upload them....those are treasured and natural moments. Lovely.

It's nice to be able to observe with a camera and catch these great moments!

It looks like such old-fashioned fun...all around.

What great photos! Did you use a special lens...or edit them to get such muted shades?

I see that you have enjoyed yourself with your lens as you watched those little ones and big ones create another family treasure.
I too, was wondering about your lens or setting..it brings a vintage appearance to your photos. Very beautiful. For a moment I thought those were photos of your children when they were young.

You captured things of that day beautifully. The kids are going to have so many hours of fun in their new little home.

Judy and Marg,
Just thought I'd answer your question about the photo colors here in case anyone else is wondering. I use Picasa edit, go to cinema scope, undo the check mark to open it up, save and then go to infrared film to lighten the color. Hope that makes sense. It's just fun!

Words and pictures so beautifully shared. A fortunate group of children and most talented grandparents.
