what we don’t find! The place
they had laid Him was empty!
The Bible tells us that Jesus
showed Himself to hundreds
of people after His resurrection
from the dead, promising hope
for eternity.
I’m reading a book by Donna Parton, called Let Your Life Count. This book is not about being the next Billy Graham, but about using everyday circumstances to love on people. For example, how many people wake up in the morning, asking, “God, if you are real, show me a sign.” I may pass them in the park, in the mall, sit next to them in a booth or stand behind them in a line-up. The frazzled mom with cranky kids in her cart - was she the one who cried out in desperation? Can I do something? Can I pray for her? Can I offer her some words of comfort? Could I be the answer to her prayer?
I've fumbled greatly, but I
also know that in Christ I can
find forgiveness and new
beginnings. I know that I don’t
have to be anything but who
He created me to be, using my
abilities to be a sign to others
that He is indeed alive and real.
“Every kind gesture done on His behalf becomes a trail of footprints upon the earth; proof positive that God not only exists but a sure sign that He is living in your neighborhood.” D. P.

Good words to live by. I'm doing a Kay Arthur bible study right now, "Lord, Teach Me How To Pray." She declares that it is our responsibility to pray for others! Something so simple, yet so good for me to hear it put that way.
I was a frazzled mom at McDonald's several years ago with my toddler and baby in tow. I said some mean words to my toddler. The lady beside me smiled knowingly and said simply, "hang in there." You never know how your actions or words can affect and hopefully encourage someone! God puts us right where we need to be.
Anneliese .. your Easter sounds full of sweet moments and tenderness for those you love.
The book you are reading sounds like a good read. I want to be mindful of those that need a word of encouragement and a word of kindness. I think I'll look for that book .. I'll be needing some reading material soon.
I love this post, Anneliese. Such a good reminder of how we should live...how are lives should be a testimony to the risen Lord all year long.
And I like how you baked your paska...separate and yet joined together!
Good Morning Anneliese..Thank-you for your reflective words. Reminds me of our service last week...where our pastor said, "What do you have? Missions is not about location...it's right in your heart"
It might be sharing a prayer, baking some bread..paska..sharing with your grand child...whatever..
And it's wonderful to be in tune with this kind of thinking.
We never know what impact our lives or words will have on someone. Enjoyed reading your thoughts. I'm so glad that God forgives, leads and refreshes us.
Good post Anneliese on your Easter thoughts..I'm taking them to heart!
The 'paska round' made me smile..another look for this popular bread!
Thank you Anneliese - your words are so real and applicable to each of us. Each minute of our days should bring glory to HIm whether in the big noticable things or the everyday mundane tasks. It's good to be reminded of this yet again.
