One day we went to the Clayburn Village Store . . . an old candy store and tea house combination . . . that we conveniently pass on our way home to our place.
It is a candy lover's heaven, I would say.
She made choices for herself and we also made up a little treat bag for her brother.
every flavor of jelly beans . . .
and every fun candy you can imagine.
Yesterday, when I picked her up, she was carrying a madarin orange box like it was made of crystal. She carefully set it down to show me what she had made. She opened the lid and in the box stood a little gingerbread house! A candy had fallen off and she said, "I think I should eat that one."

Press Control Shift at the same time. It fixes it. Happens all the time to me when I try to type faster than I actually can. :)
Cute little shop!
Thank you, Larrissa! Nice little trick. (I fixed my French keyboard)
You must be thoroughly enjoying this time with your grandchildren. Your little one is sweeter than all that candy!
Pure sweetness!
Sweetness....the candy and your sweet little dates. She will always remember these sweet times together with you.
Oh Very SWEET! I love it!
What a cute little comment from a darling little girl. It's great that you are having this time together and recording some of the special moments.
So glad that shop was open for you. It really looks like a perfect shop for little ones!
She looks so darling, peering into that candy jar. Oh to have the wonderment of a child! Regarding the fallen candy from the gingerbread house...no sense in letting one tasty morsel go to waste! Glad you're having fun with these precious little ones!
Those are the best times...I agree...I too look so forward to the days that I get to pick up the boys, and it's always a surprise snack.
The good thing is that you can pick her up after school next year and you can do that for many years to come.
So cute! Such a fun place to take Natalie...or any grand, for that matter.
