Problem Fixed

I don’t know how long it’s been that I’ve been given grief about the vacuum cord getting twisted. I can see that I could be the cause, being the primary vacuum person, but you'd think that I was doing it on purpose, just so I could enjoy his lassoing exercises when he'd want to help me out. Anyways, since the vacuum cleaner is more than 30 years old, it’s been a long time and I'd like to say that it just came that way from the factory. In fact, by some fluke, my electric hand mixer and my hair dryer came with the exact same problem. I know that is hard to believe.

The good news is that we got a new vacuum cleaner and some of those cord stories will forever be hidden now. With the click of a button it pulls into a nesting spot where no one can see it.

However will we handle this miracle? I am smiling, of course.

Love those auto chord suckers that make the chord disappear at the touch of a button! Enjoy!

That's funny! It gave you 30 years and you deserve a new one. I can picture the lassoing action :). Enjoy your new machine.

Is it a Miele? Looks like a blue version of my red ladybug Miele. :-) I love mine! Have fun with your new toy!

Enjoy your spanking new/blue model!

I'm wondering when they will come up with cordless vacuums?

OH yes...and have you noticed how the garden hose does not wind in a round? OH...such a nice vacuum.

Don't let them go in with a slam though - it will break. Trust me on that one...

My 38 yr old Electrolux cord winds perfectly still. However the vacuum suction is a bit down but that's ok because so is the dog hair and pet mouse hair factor, as well as sq. footage to vacuum. I hope your new one is made as well as those old workhorses were.

That is a funny story! I'm glad you got a new vac. My 20 year old dishwasher finally bit the dust this week, so we bought a new one today. Can't wait for hubby to get it installed.

Love those canister vacs and the self retracting cords. Just keep your ankles away from them when you step on the button, or you'll be whipped in the knob of your ankle with the plug...and that might cause you to scream or say something not so nice. I speak from experience.
