As I've written about my life over the past five years, I've often been reminded of how life fits into seasons. Like I said when I began writing, I love this season in my life, vibrant with the colors of the changes that have transpired.
Having said that, change is not always easy. It is not something I always welcome . . . but it is teaching me to trust in the One who knows well the beginning and the end of everything.
Tehya, Paeton and Makenna, knowing about their Grammy's blog . . .
gifted me with a handmade book of drawings
illustrating the words in Ecclesiates 3: 1-8
I'll share some pages . . .
Makenna's drawing with mom's pretty printing
and Tehya's wisdom illustrates the beauty of breaking bread and mending a heart
There are phrases in the chapter that hold some questions for me, but the main idea is that God allows a set time for everything that happens in our lives. I'm reminded that the good and the bad in life can be used for eventual wholeness and that even the seed that falls into the ground and dies, holds within it the mystery of life and the promise of more to come.

What a beautiful gift from your girls. You will treasure that for a long time and I respect the impact that your blog and your mantra (so to speak) have had on your family. That is something they will remember about mom/grandma through the coming years.
I spoke at a ladies' retreat a few years ago and the theme was the Seasons of Life. All seasons are useful to our growth; some are harder to endure than others, to be sure. But none stay for very long.
Thanks for a lovely post on this January Wednesday.
This theme of your blog is one of the things that drew me in when I first started stopping by here. I have always found myself struggling with coming to terms with the fact that life indeed does have seasons. Either I'm impatient for what's to come, or I'm holding onto what has passed. Your wisdom about this theme has encouraged and enlightened me many times.

Beautifully spoken...and illustrated! Their gift is something you will always treasure.
What a sweet and thoughtful gift! And a sweet and thoughtful reminder that we can trust His timing!
What a beautiful and thoughtful gift! I too am not a huge fan of change but I know that I must trust in Him as my life takes it's twists and turns. Your theme "For Everything a Season" is such a great one! Sending up a prayer for you and yours....
Beautiful words - so much for us to learn from. Thanks for sharing.

The theme and drawings by your little ones are so beautiful-treasures from the heart. My beloved family of little ones has also left after being here for Christmas and the New Year. My heart will always ache that they are in another part of the world. I often look to your postings for comfort and guidance. Thank you. Another nana.
Thanks for sharing this precious gift. Those children are also in a season, and how lovely that they have been encouraged in this season to pass on an encouragement to their grammie, and express themselves. Such a treasure.
