As we chatted and dreamed, Lovella pulled out some sample cards out of her bag and I got my very first business cards to put in my purse!
Are they not the prettiest cards to look at? I mean, you'd want them in your purse just for comfort.
Throughout our marriage my H has used personal business cards as a way of advertising or just giving out information. I guess now he would say, “If I'd know you wanted business cards I would have had some printed for you.” But I know they would not have had Zwieback and jam and cheese on them!
Not sure where and when I will use these yet, but somehow it gives me a thrill to have my very own cards. You see, to me these cards represent more than just recipes. They remind me of a group of friends whom I have so come to appreciate! Nearly every day we check in, see whose recipe is up and via shared email and blog chat about our life or pre-post recipes. We laugh, cry and pray for each other as needs come up and cheer each other on as moms and grandmas.
But to those who might get a card from me, it’s just a card that tells you where you will find our recipes. And that’s my story behind our business cards.

Congrats on those lovely business cards!
Well worth the wait to have such a gorgeous first business card.
The youngest person I ever knew to have a business/calling card was a wee lass named Margaret.
Her card simply read:
Margaret Wa**t**ry (her last name)
Granddaughter.
Her grandmother had them printed up for her a few days after she was born.
How fun is that? The wonderful thing is that we aren't selling anything...the things we offer are free. . to be shared and enjoyed by all who sample our wares.
Those are so darn cute!!
They are beautiful!! No wonder you are excited to have them...and you will be amazed at how many times you will be glad you have them tucked into your purse.
VERY cool! They are lovely! And your cooking blog is fantastic :) Thanks for helping the next generation of Menno girls :)
Cute Business Cards.
I would have used them quite often already...who would of known...
So I just went to your cookie recipe and wanted to make them...it looks so good and then I noticed at the bottom, that you had talked about banging them...that's too funny.
I don't remember telling you that, but it works doesn't it? I'm off to make them now with thoughts about you today.
How fun!! That's a great idea!! :)
I actually showed several friends at work, and they were very impressed. I am on the hunt for the perfect pure=se card holder....if you see one let me know. None I have seen quite do it for me. That picture on the card will be forever imprinted in my mind...and now a hard copy....go figure. I think you should slip into Hs stash on his desk and put some of yours in between...just for fun. A little humor in the office is always a good thing. Kathy
Those are fantastic! How very 'official'!
That's funny Kathy; last year we were at a show displaying our business wares, and our partner's daughter thought exactly as you do. She slipped her tattoo business cards in between ours....
How cool is that?! Love it Mrs. F. :)
I can't tell you how often I pull a recipe off of MGCC - seriously, a tonne!
Thank you for submitting your recipes and knowledge and creativity! Love it!
Blessings - Jen
Oh...I think there are some for me as well, right? They are perefct! I'm laughing at Kathy's suggestion of slipping a few into your hubby's supply of business cards.
Now that's a card that does what it's supposed to! They look good enough to eat which is what our blog is all about right? They'll be great to give out when someone asks about the blog address.
I just told my walking partner this morning about your lemon-pie-by-the-yard and she was going to look it up. She is making dinner this week for the local women's shelter.
I ordered business cards for myself last year just to give myself a 'boost'. It's funny, but it does give a new sense of identity!
Love these!!!!! Could you send me 5 or so in the mail that I can give to some friends here?
Lovely cards..waiting to have some of those in my purse.
