It's not every Grammy that gets to sleep in her granddaughter's bedroom . . . a bed made ready just for her.
On my first morning there . . . I started making the bed . . . like I would at home . . . and then she came in and said, "No, Mimi, I will make your bed!" She unmade what I had done and proceeded to make the bed. I said, "You know how to do that?" She said, "I do it every day!"
On the third morning . . . I asked her if she would make my bed again, and she said, "No, not today." Oh ... but by this time I had a certain plan ... so I asked her if she would show me how to make it . . . and she gladly did that. Good thing!

How precious! Natalie has a lot of Mimi's servant heart in her. Give them all hugs from me.
most impressive :)
Oh my, Katie still doesn't know how to do that. Oops...don't tell her I said that! That really is sweet Anneliese.
OH so very sweet. So that is what it is like to have a grandgirlie? I wonder if hotel service is available to intown grammies. So very fun. I love her bed.
Ellen .. you have your work cut out for the bride girl of yours. . .I'm smiling.
How sweet! Her little room is so cute and I love her bedding. Enjoy your visit!
How sweet!
too cute (and very clever Mimi!) - you must be beyond excited!!!
Haha! So great! Maybe I will have to hire her one day when I have my own little inn. :)
It reminds me a little bit of a story of when Oma and I were in Brazil. We were at a hotel, and in the morning, Oma made her bed. I told her she didn't have to, since that was the housekeepers' job. So she proceeded to make her bed "messy" again, by making the pillow crooked on the bed. Haha! Can't let anybody see your messy bed!
Too sweet!!! She's been trained well!
Very sweet! She must have been proud to show you how she makes the bed :)
Isn't it wonderful to have maid service? She has been taught the art of tutoring you through this bed making skill. I love it.
I'm smiling at Ellen's comment...that's OK too. I won't make any comments...but I love my bed made up every day.
Lovely blog! What a blessing!
Such a sweet and cute story! So glad you took pictures.
Oh so sweet! I think you were spoiled a wee bit by a very precious little girl.
What a thoughtful child! She must love you very much. So glad you were able to spend some time with her.
This post made me smile. I love how she makes the bed and was willing to teach you:)
Sweet post . . . and precious little granddaughter! We get to sleep in our grand's bed when we go to visit, and she so gladly gives it up - even though she's a teenager now!
How very sweet! I'm impressed that she can make a bed hotel-perfect at her age. And how nice that you could be pampered on your final stay in Durango!
