I think I will Make it Now

For the past three weeks or so I have sniffled . . .
coughed up a storm . . .
felt all kinds of whistles and sounds . . .
much like wind going at sails, in my ears
as I moved through mountain passes and a number of flights.
Then I sniffled some more and dealt with a feeling much like
a heavy rock shifting in my head, as my sinuses filled up.

I've felt frustration . . .  irritation . . . shivers . . . pain
and a loss of what to do or take next.
Buckley's . . . Vic's Vapor Rub . . . salt water rinses . . . . hot baths
. . . . vitamin C . . . Tylenol . . . a round of antibiotics . . .
and finally some clearing and hope coming back in the form of
Tylenol with codeine and ibuprofen extra strength!

But what put the rainbow in the sky was
the chicken noodle soup that arrived at my door  . . .
lovingly made my my mom.
A mother's love, no matter what age, is still the best medicine.
I think I will make it now.

What a blessing to have your mom close enough to bring the world's best medicine - chicken soup and her presence!

Moms know that love and chicken soup are the best cure for what ails you. And I'm sure those are homemade noodles which in itself speaks loudly of love.

I am right there with you! Sniffling and feeling like my head will explode from full sinuses. My mom and dad came to visit me yesterday too and they brought me antibiotics!! :-) Hoping you feel better soon. How sweet of your mom!

There's nothing worse than flying with stuffed up sinuses and ears!!!! I feel for you. However, there's nothing better than a mom who cares and brings you chicken soup - how touching!!! Get better.

Oh dear - I'm so sorry to read that you've been so ill. What an angel your mother is to bring you the soup. I can just imagine how good that must have felt in so many ways.
The china is from Germany - from a little town called Zell am Hammersbach in the Black Forest. Yes, it is a shepherd and sheep on the china - I loved it when I saw it and it is my favourite family-breakfast set.

OH how true! It makes me try to remember the last time I was brought dinner when I was sick. It's been awhile. I'll just savour your recent memory.
